Your data is a matter of respect
At FP Service, I don’t play games with your information. You work with me, I take that seriously, and that includes keeping what you share with me confidential.
This policy explains what data I collect, why, and how I protect it. All of it in line with Quebec’s Law 25 and Canada’s PIPEDA.
Last updated: September 30, 2026.
1. What I collect
I only collect what I need to do the job:
- Personal information: first and last name, email, phone, mailing address.
- Business data: about your company, your inventory, your processes (when we work on a project together).
- Site browsing: IP addresses, pages visited.
- Billing: no third-party payment processor, no banking data. I invoice from a spreadsheet, which I back up, and one day it will move into my own finance tool. Your billing details never leave my office.
2. Why I use it
Your data is used only to:
- Do the work we agreed on together (training, hands-on guidance, support).
- Keep you posted (newsletter, project follow-up).
- Comply with the law (taxes, accounting).
That’s it. No surprises, no selling to third parties, no spam.
3. Who I share it with
On my side: your data stays in my hands. If someone ever had to help me on your project, they would sign a confidentiality agreement before seeing anything.
With partners: yes, sometimes. The web host, the database, the management and billing tools. Just so things work. Nothing more.
Sold? Never. I don’t sell your contact information. Period.
4. How I keep it secure
- The site is hosted by a provider whose servers are in the United States.
- Your personal information, on the other hand, is stored in a database in Canada, in the Canada Central region.
- Encryption at rest and in transit.
- Limited access: I’m the only one who gets into your data.
- Confidentiality clauses everywhere, for every partner.
5. How long I keep your data
For the length of the contract, plus two years. Unless the law requires longer (taxes: usually seven years).
Once that period is over, I delete it.
6. Your rights
You can:
- Ask to see your data.
- Ask me to correct it.
- Ask me to delete it.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter whenever you like.

7. What the site leaves on your device
Two things, and they’re not the same kind of thing.
Your display preference. Light or dark: the site remembers it, on your device and nowhere else. It isn’t a cookie, it tells me nothing about you, and I never see it. Your language isn’t stored anywhere: it’s in the page address.
Audience measurement cookies, the Google Analytics ones. They tell me which pages get read and which don’t. That’s what lets me improve the site instead of guessing. They’re only set with your consent, which I ask for on your first visit. Saying no changes nothing about your visit.
You can change your mind at any time with the “Manage my cookies” link at the bottom of every page. The details are in the Cookie policy. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. The display preference is cleared in the same place, by deleting the site’s data.
8. Applicable law
Quebec and Canada. That’s where I am, and that’s what I follow.
In case of a dispute: the courts of the judicial district of Longueuil.
9. Questions?
Write to me.
